1998 Electric Car Race Results

"Start Your Engines"
Armstrong High School Track, May 16, 1998

Speed, Maneuverability and Endurance trials were held on the 1/4 mile track at Armstrong High School.

Speed trials consisted of measuring the time for the winning car in two 100 yard heats of four/three cars each followed by a race between the two winners.

Maneuverability trials consisted of measuring the time for each car to transverse a 100 yard + U turn + 100 yard course with obstacles placed every 5 yards.

Slalom through the cones
Endurance trials consisted of measuring the number of 1/4 mile laps in one hour changing drivers each lap.

Trying for the most laps in 1 hour.

The pit stops to change drivers provided lots of action.
